Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021 as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her position as the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she has to cover everything ranging from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the rise and development of tourism to space. Being the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts, Kristin has a background in the industry of space. She was a part of the space industry for five years, covering the Trump and Biden Space Policy of the Administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. While covering the impeachment trials of two presidents and the presidential campaign for 2020, as well as both administrations' efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus, Kristin covered a lot of other subjects. She also was a frequent traveler with President Trump as well as the Vice President extensively. The trip included a shady trip to Afghanistan. Kristin has worked in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before becoming a part of the CBS network. She was awarded one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin utilized her knowledge in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films, and became a preferred choice among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
